Dear Debra,
 
I met you in Charleston, WV when you came to speak for Charleston Area Medical Center last year.  It was amazing as if you were there for only me.  I have gone over and over in my brain honestly realizing that God sent you to me.  You spoke to us about our nursing careers and how we should act toward our patients and families and co-workers.  What I heard more loudly than that was how I should act as a child of God and a mother.  I'm sure you don't remember me, but  I expressed to you that I did not want to come to the conference that my manager had registered me to attend.  It was one of the best days of my life!!  That is what I want you to know.
 
I have not forgotten your passion.  I have not forgotten your compassion when I spoke to you.  I have not forgotten YOU.  I believe that few people make a mark on our lives that is so significant that we NEVER forget them.  You are one of those people for me.  While I may never see you or speak with you again, I want you to know what a mark you left.  Even though you had never met me, I felt drawn to you.  I felt that you cared about me sincerely and what I was going through in my personal & professional life.
 
 While on your website, searching for dates and places of your speaking engagements, I stumbled across the 10-minute video in Las Vegas.  Just hearing your voice and that short clip gave me peace.  I hope to hear you speak again soon.
